A major insurance group had implemented a package known as QSP. QSP had its origins in the UK and did not have flexible layouts for the Australian Banking market. It did not have a solution for dynamic MICR printing of cheques and needed work to create EFT files for the Australian Banking System. The package did not have a forms design tool built in. It relied on formatting hard coded reports.

The group had several bank accounts, issued many cheques with different formatting requirements for remittance detail, wanted to move to electronic payments and generally wanted to improve the quality of output for forms such as EFT Remittances and also be able to print fax or email these documents.
